Cost of Shipping

The price of shipping is governed by the weight of what is purchased and where the package is being delivered to.

Delivery Times

Australian Deliveries: we intend that all items ordered within Australia will arrive within 7 business days unless communicated otherwise. We aim to process orders within 24 business hours of receiving them. How aim is always to provide you the freshest coffee we can.

Delivery Method

Our orders are delivered via Australia Post. Couriers may be used in some instances where size and or speed of delivery requires it. Whilst we make every effort to track these items with our delivery partners, Hello Coffee accepts no responsibility for any loss of, damage to, late delivery or non-delivery of goods once they have been dispatched from our warehouse.

Returns,refunds & exchanges

The following Returns, Refunds and Exchange policy applies only to orders delivered within Australia. Should there be any dissatisfaction with any product purchased via the Hello Coffee website, please contact info@hellocoffee.com.au and we will be happy to organise an refund or exchange for you.

All products must be returned in a saleable condition as soon as possible following purchase. Hello Coffee, does not allow any returns on coffee purchased unless there is a quality issue with the coffee. Appropriate packaging must be used to ensure that no in-transit damage occurs. All returns will be inspected for authenticity prior to processing for refund or exchange. The purchaser may be contacted to clarify any issues relating to the returned product or to improve our quality processes. Returned product postage will be at the discretion of Hello Coffee. Most items are covered by manufacturer’s warranty so if a product is faulty please contact us immediately so we can arrange a repair or a replacement.

GST

Unless stated to be otherwise, charges referred to for use of any services or purchase of any product provided by Hello Coffee are GST inclusive. Hello Coffee, will issue a tax invoice for all purchases. GST means the Australian Goods and Services Tax charged under A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (the “Act”). Tax invoice means tax invoice as defined by the Act.

Hello Coffee endeavours to maintain the accuracy of product images, product descriptions, stock availability and prices. We do, however, reserve the right to cancel an order and/or reverse a payment if an order has been placed based on erroneous information.

FAQ

HOW LONG DOES COFFEE LAST FROM WHEN IT'S ROASTED?

Our coffee is best between day 4 and 20 after the roast date. The coffee is still fine

Our coffee's optimal drinking time is within 21 days of the roast date. We don't recommend drinking coffee in the first few days after roast while it is degassing, and prefer our espresso at 7 - 21 days post roast. As with all things brewing, it's worth doing a little experimentation to see what suits your palate and your brewing method best.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO STORE MY COFFEE ONCE IT ARRIVES?

In short, in a cool place, out of direct sunlight. The enemies of fresh coffee are air, moisture, heat and light. If you use an airtight bag, tin or jar that is kept out of the sun, you will be all set. That said, our 250g, 500g and 1kg bags are resealable, so they are are a great way to keep the coffee.

As to using fridges or freezing, we would advise to avoid this unless you know what you are doing. Moisture in your coffee container is to be avoided, so please do your research.

WHERE DOES THE COFFEE COME FROM, WHERE IS IT ROASTED?

We source our coffee from all around the world, with a focus on ethically sourced, high quality beans from central American and Africa. The roasting happens in the sleepy seaside town of Apollo Bay, in the Otway Ranges in Victoria’s south west.

WHEN IS YOUR CAFÉ OPEN?

The Hello Coffee Café shut in March 2019 so we could focus on the coffee roasting side of the business. The Café will not be re-opening. If you want to have a cup of Hello Coffee in Apollo Bay, then we recommend you visit Bloom, Sweet View and the Apollo Bay Distillery.
